4th of July Jell-
Ingredients:
3 3/4 cups boiling water
1 pkg. (8 serving size) Jell-
1 pkg. (8 serving size) Jell-
2 cups cold water
1 pkg. (4 serving size) Jell-
1 pt. vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt, softened
Directions:
Stir 1 1/2 cups boiling water into red and blue gelatin in separate bowls until completely dissolved. Stir 1 cup cold water into each bowl.
Pour red gelatin into USA mold. Refrigerate 1 hour or until set but not firm. Reserve blue gelatin at room temperature.
Meanwhile, Stir remaining 3/4 cup boiling water into lemon gelatin in bowl. Spoon in ice cream until melted. Spoon over red gelatin in mold. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until set but not firm. Refrigerate blue gelatin 30 minutes. Spoon blue gelatin over lemon gelatin in mold. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight until firm.
To unmold: Dip mold in warm water for about 15 seconds. Gently pull gelatin from around edges with moist fingers. Place moistened serving plate on top of mold. Invert mold and plate; holding mold and plate together, shake slightly to loosen. Gently remove mold and center gelatin on plate.
Note: If you do not have the United States Mold, this same recipe works very well in a bunt pan.
