Campfire Dinner  


Ingredients:

1 lb beef (either cut in chunks or ground in the form of patties)

4 med potatoes, peeled

4 lg carrots, peeled    

1 lg white onion, peeled

margarine

salt and pepper

aluminum foil


Directions:

Tear 4 pieces aluminum foil 12 to 14 inches long. Grease center of foil with margarine. Divide the beef into 4 equal parts and place in the center of the foil. Place slices of one potato and one carrot into each meat patty. Add sliced onion, salt, pepper to taste. Add tablespoon margarine to top. Seal aluminum foil, to make packages. Bake over a campfire (or in a 350 degree oven) for 45 to 60 minutes or until vegetables are tender and meat is done.  


Makes 4 servings.
