Chicken Divan

Ingredients:

20 oz slightly cooked broccoli

2 breasts of chicken

1/4 c margarine or butter

1/4 c flour

1/2 tsp dry mustard

1/2 c cream or milk

1 c shredded "sharp" cheese

1/2 c onion, chopped

1/2 tsp thyme


Directions:

Cook chicken in 1 1/2 cups of water or chicken broth; boil broth to 1 cup. Slice chicken. Melt margarine, add flour and mustard; stir in broth and milk. Cook over medium heat until thick. Add cheese. Set aside. Stir in thyme. Butter bottom of 9x13 pan. Layer broccoli then chicken, then onion. Pour sauce over entire meal. Cook in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes or until heated through.
