Cornbread

Ingredients:

3/4 cup cornmeal

1 cup flour

1/3 cup sugar

1 Tbsp. baking powder

3/4 tsp. salt

2 Tbsp margarine

1 cup milk

1 egg, beaten


Directions:

Combine all dry ingredients. Cut in the margarine. Add milk and egg and mix until batter is moist. Do NOT over mix! The batter will be lumpy.


Pour into a greased bread (loaf) pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Makes 1 loaf
