Fried Chicken  

Combine in sack and shake to coat:

1/2 cup flour or crushed corn flakes

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. garlic salt (optional)

1 chicken, cut in serving pieces


Brown in large skillet:

coated chicken pieces

1 cup hot oil or shortening

Cover and simmer about 30 minutes until tender. Uncover last 10 minutes.


Shake 'N Bake:

Remove skin, if desired. Coat chicken with flour mixture.

Place in greased 9x13 pan. Bake chicken at 400 for 45-60 minutes.
