Kentucky Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) chicken but into pieces and seasoned

1/2 cup water

1 cup flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 cup milk

Oil for deep fat fryer

Directions:

Place chicken in saucepan with water; cover. Simmer until tender. Drain on absorbent paper; refrigerate. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and pepper into mixing bowl. Add beaten egg and milk; mix well. Dip each chicken piece in batter. Fry in 375 degree oil for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
