Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
6 Tbsp. milk
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup raisins, nuts (etc.)
Directions:
Cream shortening and add sugar, then beaten eggs and milk. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together; add next. Add raisins, or nuts then the oats. Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350.
