Oven Chicken

Butter a 9x13 inch pan. Cover the bottom of pan thickly with Minute rice (approximately 3 cups or more). Lay parts of a cut up chicken over rice. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix. Combine 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can cream of chicken soup, and 1/2 cup water. Pour over chicken. Cover with foil. Bake for exactly 2 1/2 hours at 350. The secret of this recipe is that it must be baked for 2 1/2 hours without being opened or peeked at.
